We watched the first episode and it was very Kong focused. I haven’t drawn any conclusions about the season being awful or not though I found S1 pretty generic if I’m honest, so I’m not expecting too much from this. Don’t even get me started on the last couple movies, excluding “Minus One.” The series from Godzilla ‘14 to Godzilla V Kong has been like reliving going from Batman 89 to Batman & Robin.
 
I'll watch anything with Godzilla in it and/or pretty much any other large monsters... for example Colossal with Anne Hathaway which I really enjoyed. But this Monarch series and agreed the more recent American/Legendary movies are just not so great... also agreed especially in comparison to Minus One.
 
After the opening scene I fast forwarded through the rest of Monarch episode four then switched to Car Wow videos on the treadmill this morning. This season of Monarch is losing my interest rapidly.
 
Another teaser dropped today. Doesn't reveal a whole lot but I'm fine with that. Staking out my parking space at local IMX theater for 11/03 release.

 
Read some fan grumblings online over the fact that the opponent for Godzilla in Minus Zero will be King Ghidorah and not Hedorah as many had speculated. I feel quite the opposite. While Hedorah is probably my all time favorite Godzilla foe (and highly stylized associated film) the fact that Toho is going straight to King Ghidorah in this sequel is to me like an open rebuttal of the American Godzilla franchise... you think you guys can do King Ghidorah? Check this out. So in the same way that Toho (frankly) humbled the Legendary films with Minus One... they will now step right up and do it again with the same featured key villain character. It's a bold statement IMO and I am very much looking forward to it. I enjoy the Legendary films for what they are... but they have become something very different then what Toho started and has now brought back in spades.

It should be the biggest OG Toho Big G vs. Americanized Jurassic Park "Zilla" Raptor take down since Final Wars...
