Babs first post with her iMac!

I have always been a huge "Heart" fan. Ann & Nancy are just too talented. They have rocked this business for such a long time.

IMO, this has to be one of the best covers I have heard! Ann just nails it, period! :music-rockout:

Share your thoughts if you wish, or share your favorite cover tune. :music-listening:

Heart has always been able to Absolutely Nail any Zep tune, ironic as their music was probably the most, uh, testosterone-fueled rock out there.
Having been a "cover musician" for most of my adult life, I have more of an appreciation for original music, but this one does something for me:

The Tuttles do a lovely rendition of one my favorite Gram Parsons songs.

    Gram would be proud.

One of my favs I can think of (now) is Tears For Fears' cover of "Ashes to Ashes by David Bowie

I like their version of Radiohead's "Creep" too.

Another one is Rush's cover of "Summertime Blues".

I will probably have to have my Canadian citizenship revoked for admitting that a) I did not know this was a Joni Mitchell tune and b) I like this version better

You posted a Heart video...I went to their show last summer here in Charlotte (my 8 year old daughter bought the tickets for my birthday) and they did this cover:

One of the best covers I've ever heard.....Ann's voice sent chills down my spine throughout.

I'm not sure what this next comment will do as far as being reinstated as a citizen of our fine country but I have always preferred CSN&Y's version of Woodstock over the writer, Joni Mitchell. I am starting to sound like a Joni hater...but honest...I really like her!!

I don't mind BNL's cover but I prefer Bruce Cockburns original!!
