I'll try to spare you guys from the repetitive gushing over this weekend and post these pics. Let me just say (like I messaged Zing Saturday night) that touring this theater was like an out-of-body experience. Here's a link to the Tampa Theatre site if you'd like to learn more :text-link:

Guests were encouraged to wear costumes and kids and adults alike channeled their inner superheroes! There were also people who make event appearances dressed up that were really convincing :happy-smileygiantred:

This is Kye and his mom Tina (black bat-costume with yellow symbol). Kye was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 5 (he's now 8) his story was in the film. You may recognize them from the trailer I posted. During his treatments Kye would tell the doctors and nurses he was Batman. As he regained his strength, his mom along with a "wish foundation" from Arlington, Texas arranged a "Batman adventure" where he stopped the Joker and Riddler from robbing a local bank.

I knew you were preoccupied...

We watched this this evening with Jo & Chris. Incredible on so many levels!!! There are good things, no great things, out there! Awesome Batman for your support of this oh so wonderful project! :handgestures-thumbup: ;)

Okay it's been announced that Legends of the Knight is booking screenings all over the country!! NY, NJ, San Diego, Athens GA, Charlotte, Baltimore have locations set but screenings are not guaranteed until a certain number of tickets are sold. I'm going to attend as many east coast screenings as possible. All net proceeds will go to a local charity in the area of the city it screens in!! So please have a look at wearebatman.com and consider going if you are close. Venues and dates are being added rapidly and it's for a great cause. I'm SO proud to be attached to this film, I can't express it in words...

Pauly, the screening in Baltimore is on Friday February 7! Interested in dinner and a movie with the fams? :happy-smileygiantred:

Sweet! I'm in, got tickets for my whole family for the Baltimore showing, which according to the web site is confirmed as having enough people.

Batman, if you're coming to this one, you and any/all family are of course welcome to stop my place first, anytime that's convenient for you. We could even do dinner somewhere beforehand... It's an easy <10min drive from my place to the hall.

Edit: ha! Didn't even see your last post(which on the next page for me) before writing the above! Yeah, definitely.

Pauly, I reserved my tix just now so we'll make plans as we get a little closer, but with the movie at 7:30, That should give us plenty of time to get the kids gathered after school and get down your way for some dinner before hand.

Forgot to mention that you can pre-order a copy of this film in the online store at wearebatman.com. All proceeds from purchases there also go to charity. Please consider adding it to your library. If you like inspirational films, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Chris, Zing & I are still talking about how much we enjoyed this! I am also too pleased we viewed it with you & Jo! ;)

Babs, I'm glad something about it spoke to the two of you. The beauty, to me, of this film it that it can be different things to different viewers. Chances are good, that of the several stories in this film, one or more of them are going to hit home with people. If you're a fan of comics, you're gonna like it. If you like to see people with struggles succeed, you're gonna like it. If you like to see people with wealth give back, you're gonna like it. If you want young people to take ownership of their hometown and do good deeds and inspire our youth to be good people, you're gonna like it...

It did indeed speak to both of us! You should know ME well enough by now, I embrace the good in all aspects of life! I really like the 'Giving Back' part! It is a rewarding feeling!

I didn't know what to expect from the movie. If I had to guess what it was going to be about, I suppose I would not have been surprised to see stories of sick and/or mentally/physically challenged children finding some sort of joy in life stemming from some aspect of the character of Batman (along the lines of San Francisco's Batkid). As it turns out, I would've been very, very wrong in that guess.

The movie was - in a word - inspiring. Coming from someone who was never into comic books, I walked away from this movie with a whole new appreciation and respect for Batman. Maybe I should say Batmen. Because that new appreciation and respect applies to both the comic book character and my friend.

Additionally, this film further inspired me and gave me a justifiable reason for buying this:

A sincere 'Thank You' to both Batmen.

He will proudly (and solely) reside on my right-side subwoofer,
I'm sure you know already but I just wanted to :twocents-mytwocents: as I have broken my alarm clock on sub in the past (it bounced over the edgy during strong LFE moment and fell on the floor), this is a good option.

Zing, Thank YOU for the kind words!! Enjoy that statue!

* On a side note, that sideshow pic reminded me of the pre-order for the Hot Toys Bruce Wayne/Alfred Pennyworth/Batsuit Armory so now I have 8 monthly payments coming til October...so thanks for that too :eek:bscene-buttred:
