I've picked up a small haul over the last few days. Been listening to these albums a little bit here and there. The first two are on CDs, but the rest are MP3s that I bought from Amazon and Google. I'd rather have physical CDs to rip to my collection, but the downloads were on sale. It is what it is, you know.

Sara Watkins - "Sun Midnight Sun"

Yo Yo Ma/Chris Thile/Edgar Meyer/Stuart Duncan - "The Goat Rodeo Sessions"

Fiction Family - "Holiday EP"

This last one is actually free (or optional donation) when you visit the band's website. Only one of the songs is a Christmas tune. The other 5 songs appear to be regular Jon Foreman/Sean Watkins type of stuff. FYI - Family Fiction has a new album coming out Jan. 29th.

Oh... and I've got Public Enemy's "Power To The People and the Beats: Greatest Hits" coming in the mail soon. I just hope they don't send me the edited clean version by mistake. (You just never quite know when ordering used CDs through the mail.)

Ah, a Chris Thile fan, that's cool! I've got all the Punch Brothers as well, and the Goat Rodeo stuff is really pretty amazing music.

Ah 1980!! What a strange year. Squeeze Argy Bargy, AC -DC Back in Black, Queen The Game and Bob Seger Against the Wind in heavy rotation whilst drinking beer and playing pool!!!

Another find at that Tampa record store - Sound Exchange. It even had vintage stereo gear, CDs, pre-recorded reel-to-reel tapes!, vinyl, laserdisc, DVDs..
