Who's excited about The Grand Tour?

The Grand Tour premiers tomorrow (18th November). Who's as excited as I am. The team has a much bigger budget, more freedom in terms of broadcast sensors, and a strong desire to show the BBC they were fools for firing them.

They even started getting press with similar antics as before when they were leaving Germany last week.

This looks like it may be fun.
 
I was able to watch in 4K but no HDR. I was a little disappointed in the sound mix as well. A few of the jokes at the beginning seemed really forced but the car porn made me happy. Looking forward to the rest of the season...
 
I'm a pretty big fan of Top Gear UK, so definitely looking forward to this. The trailers For Grand Tour look good too.

Also, just FYI in case it's helpful for anyone, in celebration of the show's launch, Amazon is having a sale on their Prime membership for $79, only on Nov. 18.
 
Its all the rage on the CTS-V owners forum. Cant wait to give it a watch.
 
Just watched Ep. 1 "The Holy Trinity". I think they could've edited out about 15 minutes of nonsense. But the car porn was, well, car porn.

Agreed. It was fun, it was funny, it had great moments of car porn, but there was also a fair amount of stuff that just didn't go anywhere. Hopefully they can build on it.
 
Maybe it is my anglophile tendencies, but I loved the bantor and wordplay. The guest stars scene was fucking hilarious!!! The cars were amazing. And I love the American driver!!!!!

Did a little research and the Amazon Fire TV is only HDMI 1.4 so it doesn't support HDR. :mad: I was able to watch with HDR via the Samsung UHD player though. :cool: I enjoyed Renner's guest appearance but thought they should've left the bit at that.
 
I am loving this show! The humor is exactly what I love, like the famous guests segment, and the annoying characters on each adventure.
 
Zing kind of has my attention with this. I joined him in the theater about an hour ago after finishing my step count for the day. The episode that was airing was the one two days prior to Christmas, I was surprised how much I could relate to. Mind you, I have been enjoying & following, Formula One for years now.

The Christmas episode was enjoyable & quite funny at the end when the hosts did their Christmas spiel about gift giving.

We are now watching the 'Beach Buggy' episode. The gents as hosts are quick witted, humorous and well spoken. I bet I will join Zing for more episodes.

I'm an episode behind, but pretty much my thoughts as well. I miss the Stig, but Mike ("The American") is awesome and I hope he stays with them. I had a feeling The Stig wouldn't be with him due to a TM reason, but I can see this show taking off and be better than its predecessor (kinda like AA vs S&V ;) ).

"Fucking Hilarious" is hitting the nail on the head. I loved when they did the special forces training. LOL!

Seriously?! He's lucky to be alive after his accendient 11 years ago.
 
I just saw that Grand Tour is back with Season 2 on Friday (Dec 8th)! Whoop!
