As I was switching receivers last weekend, I obviously turned off and unplugged my sub. After hooking everything back up to the new receiver (Marantz SR6008) I plugged in a turned on the sub. THe receiver was not on yet....and the sub was rumbling...like random loud undefined bass. The volume...

I have a basic understanding of Ohms' law, but still would like a little clarification.
my Elac B6's are 6 ohms and 85 dbs
my Klipsch RB-61's are 8 ohms and 95 dbs
Does the lower resistance of the Elacs 'make up' for the sensitivity difference? or would I still need more power to drive the...

I remember hearing Triangle speakers years ago at a local shop, and I loved them. It is where I bought my first "real" stereo - PSB Alphas and HK AVR.
Yet, when in the neighborhood I would stop by and just have a listen to the Triangles.

I have M-Audio powered near field monitors for computer speakers. When I adjust the volume, either up or down, there is a crackle that comes through the speakers. Other than that they sound fine.
Any thoughts?
