"Tribal" by Dr. John

Thinking of buying this one. If it's even half as good as "Duke Elegant"
it'll be well worth it.

( "Duke Elegant" is excellent )

Ya win some, ya lose some.

Don't waste your money on "Tribal" (rel. 2010)
| IMO, it's an unexpected (and big) disappointment. .
In fact, it sucks!

John's "Duke Elegant" I still hightly recommend

Hey Pauly...this one made me think of you.

It seems to be instrumental Blues and it's guitar-oriented. I can't help but think you'll really like it!

What a coincidence you mention Buddy because I recently added three new artists to my collection and Buddy Guy (that album in particular) was one of them.

The other two are:

I was channel surfing and stumbled on this Stevie Ray Vaughn and Albert King session.

Simply... Freaking... Amazing. :bow-blue:

That is a great album and I love the "Banter" between the two greats! :handgestures-thumbup:

Thanks, guys! Ordered, looking forward to it; I've never seen any live footage of SRV.

So, how was the....ah.....er......well....... "Not So Live" Footage? :scared-eek:

Dennie :teasing-neener:

No, I am not proud, but I felt someone had to ask! :angry-tappingfoot:

Ha! In the immortal words of Eric Cartman, "Screw you (guys), I'm going home!"

Ok, I shoulda said "video footage" I guess. Hell, two years ago if you'd've asked me, I might been able to say that maybe SRV played the guitar a little or something, I'm not sure...

All kidding aside, you've come along way in your music listening. I think (and I can only guess) that you've picked up more new music in the last 2 years than all the years before!

Isn't it a great thing! :eusa-clap: :eek:bscene-drinkingcheers:

.....and SRV plays the Drums!!! :naughty: LOL

Dennie :eusa-whistle:

Nice to see the Stevie Ray / Albert recording come up in this thread.

I bought it unheard about six months ago, and it quickly became a
favorite.
(good stuff) :music-listening:
