Prepping The House For Sale

Still not sure if they are leaving this or not.

Might be nice to have something to put together without putchasing a new display or projector but I have no idea what it is and the setup where they have it is terrible.

I don't think the screen is necessarily too high as I sat on the couch and stared at it for a while with my wife and our realtor were laughing hysterically at what I was imaging I was watching. So, I told them porn and they both left me alone.

The problem is there is no way to do speakers of any kind right there except switching to a perforated screed and using in walls. Also doesn't leave much space for surrounds or sub.

The basement is really nice it just isn't done the way I would have if I had a blank slate. I do however think there are places that will work better for some sort of HT setup. I will figure it our once we get in there.

I was mainly thinking I might use the screen and projector initially and get everything set up and then upgrade down the road.

This seems to be the case the vast majority of the time if somebody put in a "theater" room. Mine is handicapped by the guy having put everything in drywall cubbyholes on one wall. Well, he sized it for a 32" CRT TV. Yeah- not something easily redone without a lot of demo work. So I put in shelves and that's where the components live.

thats why theres a chair right underneath the projector screen. :D

kidding aside, ever considered a soundbar?

your welcome. :p

No, and there are a lot of other things I aint never considered either like drinking chardonnay in public.
kidding aside, there is always 2 channel.

the basement is a blank canvas. you can watch porn all day if you wanted to.

Close on the new crib today at 2pm.

We will have 3 house payments very son and that sounds like oh so much fun.

Had a couple I know come and look at my house last night and they seemed very interested.
Wth the housing market being what it is they should move pretty quickly. No?

Closed on the new house yesterday. They left the projector and screen, the washer and dryer in the laundry as well as the stackable in the main bath, as well as the dining room furniture which is pretty nice but we aren't crazy about it.

So have to figure out if I am going to be able to have anything that resembles a useable HT space.

Looks like I can put a 75" upstairs in the living room. It has built in cabinets that prevent anything bigger. I believe the opening was 69" wide x 49" tall.

I will get the model # off the projector and see if it is worth using and pull the screen off the wall and see what it is.

I will get a 4K UHD model for upstairs, and I will take suggestions even though I don't exactly have a budget, most of you guys know I cant stick to a budget anyway,

Here is the living room built ins.

That looks great! I'd probably be looking at 75" too but don't rule out 65 and 70. Do you know what size it is in the picture?

I don't, I didn't measure the display.

I measured the opening and it was 69" W x 49" H. I wrote it down but don't have the notes with me.
