What Are You Listening To?

Tonight I am going to watch the Austin Symphony Orchestra perform Mahler. I am beside myself in anticipation.
Hope you enjoyed it.

Coincidence!

I was a timer at a swim meet this evening, working with a friend of mine who is a bass player for the Ottawa Symphony. Earlier in the day they rehearsed Mahler's 2nd and he was still stoked. Although he was a bit worried because after the rehearsal he did not have time to first drop off his instrument at home, so it was out in his car in the parking lot.

Anyhow, the performance will be at the NAC on April 3rd. Unfortunately I will be in Orlando golfing at that time.

Watching "Ryan Bingham Live" on Amazon Prime. Never heard of the dude before but I'm really digging the concert.

Sitting in the sanctuary (porch) had Alexa fire up Santana mix. Along with Los Vasco 2015 Estate grown Cab.

According to my last issue of Keyboard magazine (RIP :(), a blend of straight jazz, hiphop, and "Trap", whatever that is. Sounds like early Level 42 sans the Britfunk bass.

How is it the likes of Tupac, Joan Jett, and J Geils can be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and this guy isn't?
