Got an email from Hdtracks about a remastered issue of "The Beatles" or the White album as everybody calls it, and decided to pull the trigger. It wasn't cheap, but with 107 songs I figured it was worth the price of admission. The did a great job remastering it. This is not my favorite Beatles album, but it sounds so good, plus their are alot of demo takes that sound better than you would expect. I have no buyers remorse with this purchase, and would recommend it if you are a Beatles fan.
My older brother has been working on remixing and remastering his old music, which I enjoy very much, for a few years and has now released it in an album on Band Camp. Most of the songs were recorded in the early 1990s, some were written as early as 1983. I heard this stuff all the time, and I often played it as the soundboard music before big shows I my band was headlining since I didn't have permissions to play other artists at shows where tickets were sold.
This version has a better tonality than the originals, but I would mix the music differently.
Well, if you did not grow up in this era 67' I was 15, then you might not appreciate this. It was really a one off by them. The 3d cover was great until a fucking dog chewed the shit out of it.
