What Movie(s) Did You Watch Today?

51XQ7fpe97L.jpg

Now available for streaming on NF.

A fantastic documentary series. The complete story of baseball. Even if you are not a fan this is still a must see. The history of baseball is in many respects the history of the US and this demonstrates that.

I am on my third time watching it. I have the series on DVD but the NF streaming is pretty comparable and a bit more convenient.

Ive got to watch this I love history and love baseball. Somehow missed the Ken Burns Documentary on PBS when it cam out.

Thanks for letting knows its on netflix streaming.

Took wife and kids, had a blast! I really didn't expect to like it and was surprised I found it really entertaining... :handgestures-thumbup:

I have to say that its not a good sign that the producers don't think that the movie stands on it's own, and feel the need to mention Ice Age on the poster more times than the actual movie.

I dig them still. But I much prefer the ones with human characters like Up, Dispicable Me, The Incredibles...

(to T7) Actually I'm not a fan of the Ice Age series, so that did nothing to attract me to Rio...if the kids didn't want to see it so bad I would've waited for the BD release. Surprisingly enough, I enjoyed myself.

I read several reviews that said this was the best offering so far from this studio, even compared it to Pixar.

Bats, c'mon you can only use your kids as your "excuse" to see a movie for just so long. :eusa-whistle:

^ yeah, until there well into their teens at least... :teasing-tease:

Wife picked this up on the cheap (on DVD), watched it today. It's not the greatest story in the universe, but it was very entertaining anyway. Would consider getting a BD of it if I found one for not too much $$...

Huh, weird, worked for me before. Trying again...

I have yet to see the red x movie but am looking forward to it. :handgestures-thumbup:
I just ordered the blue question mark movie... :happy-smileygiantred:

Just finished this one, had no idea what to expect but I liked it. Thought W.S. did a pretty nice job on this one.

Saw it the other night. A lots of eye-candies and good audio. The plot definitely is for younger crowd. There was a bit of political jabs thrown in which was cheesy at best. :handgestures-thumbdown:

By sheer coincidence, while watching this movie, there was a thunderstorm sweeping through my area which added more matching feel to the overall imagery of this movie (dark, cloudy and lots of “boom”). It's a good demo to have.

This was good flick!

Thanks, Tee, watched this one tonight and I agree, it's very well done. Seriously thought-provoking, when I consider how annoyed I get with various aspects of my own life - then I see this of point of view (assuming there's anything like reality in this movie) and... wow. Gonna have to look up the book this movie was based on.

Good music, too.
