What Movie(s) Did You Watch Today?

The post bank heist street shootout from Heat is definitely surround sound reference material. I also find the sound mixing on some of the Underworld movies to have pretty intense gunfire sounds when played at high volume. Not Oscar winning films but the sound effects are always pretty solid.
Loved them both.

Kinda have a crush on Kate so everything Underworld is good with me.

That's a bold statement.

OK so now I have to watch it.

i will concur with this. especially when you see hondo tap the trunk of the expedition, turn it up.

even the first scene was brute.

atmos? dont even need it.

dont forget, collateral and his double tap scene. THATS my go to for gunshots.

The Sisters Brothers on Netflix. I am a sucker for Westerns. Story wasn't anything new , but scenery was beautiful and I would watch anything with John C. Reilly in it.

A Message From the King starring Chadwick Boseman.

Pretty good movie, but I'm easily entertained.

I've crushed on Kate as well and while I recognize and appreciate her sexy femme fatale character in Underworld, there was something that really did it for me with her in Click.

Ruh Roh, I am not sure I have seen that one.

I loved her in Serendipity too. I will have to check out Click.

Seriously one of my all time favorite movies. And as a bonus it's where Ren & Stimpy come from so that makes it even better. If you are a Ren & Stimpy fan and didn't know that (shame on you) and please watch this scene which does contain huge spoiler fair warning...

Seriously WTF did I just watch? Free on Amazon if you dare.

Fair warning red band trailer is absolutely NSFW...

I loved Trainspotting so would be all over this!! I also like James McAvoy. I am a sucker for the Scottish accent (inlaws were both Scottish). Sadly it was taken off Netflix here in Canada and is not available on Prime here in Canada.

Lights out.

Scary movies are the only way we can get our daughter out of her room these days. My wife was screaming and digging her nails in my arm.
I'm not a horror film fan, don't watch many so can't make a fair comparison.

It's like Trainspotting on steroids (and LSD and cocaine and Viagra). James McAvoy is great in it although probably a better performance then film itself.

Watched Possessor this weekend directed by Brandon Cronenberg (son of David Cronenberg) his fathers influence is obvious. I thought Christopher Abbott was excellent playing a very complicated role where his character was not always under the influence of his own consciousness. Some pretty graphic gore fair warning. If you were a fan of his fathers films (and know full well what you are getting yourself into) this is a must see... possibly better IMO.

Holy moly rewatched Possessor the uncut version. I thought the regular version was brutal. The uncut version goes way beyond brutal. Probably only a couple of minutes of extra footage and quick camera shots that were edited out of the regular version but even just these little additions totally changed the viewing experience IMO. Took it way up a level in graphic and intense content. Triple up on my previous cautionary warning this uncut version is absolutely brutal. Still love the film it's classic Chronenberg and brilliant. Just a lot to stomach.
