I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
This build is more about the room and less about the gear, but I thought what they did with the fiber optic light cables, and the moving collage was kinda cool...

My gaming room has had a Panasonic plasma in it for the last 10 years. It was a decent 46" 1080p model from costco and has done its job quite well. No real input lag, good black levels decent for TV and great for gaming.
I had to stop in to Best Buy to grab a USB drive and was just checking...
Been to about 8 shows this year so far... Part of my new Year's resolution to get out more, see my friends more and see more live music.
This Saturday, X at the Summit Music Hall. Can't wait!

I used to solder quite a bit, but it's been many years, it's definitely worth giving a shot because I love these and they are not made any longer. I have all the tools, so just the part is needed.
I ordered the part from amazon. Hopefully have it done in a few days.
The earbuds themselves are 100% functional but the wires at the base of the 3.5mm connector are loose.
I've had them forever and they get used daily, so I've definitely gotten my monies worth out of them, but I hate to toss them if a simple repair or replacement of the connector is affordable...
I picked up the LG 65" just before the Superbowl from Best Buy for around $2500.
It's PQ is indescribably stunning.
I don't believe I've seen an OLED with a curved screen

I was excited to see what QLED would bring to the market.
Unfortunately, more edge lit displays with a fancy new name from Samsung is what we have. I'm happy I got my OLED when I did.
OK I took the plunge!
I just got done wall mounting and setting up my 65" LG OLED. It's pretty amazing. Black levels are where the obvious differences are.
I'll need to run my setup disk a few more times to get it fine tuned but with just a couple of passes through to get the...
Best Buy near me has a 65" 2016 LG B6 OLED right now for $2500, open box though.
Going to check it out here in a bit.
The B6 is normally $3999 but is on sale this week for $2999. Superbowl deal I guess.

I saw the LG 65" sets at BB around the Thanksgiving time frame dropping down to $2999, but they have since gone back up to $3,999. :(
If this current gen drops below $2500 I'll definitely jump on one.

Looks like I may not ditch the Sling App after all.
If this is truly free for 100 hours of cloud based DVR, then I will probably keep my Sling service. I've been slightly disappointed with Sling overall, but adding the DVR functionality may make it worth the $$.
Sling is the most expensive...
I see.
I'm on the lookout for a bigger plasma. I have a 46" that works perfectly for online gaming. Online gaming on my LCD Samsung is virtually impossible.
