Is that little bit of blue tape marking one of the corners for a possible screen location?

All the sanding is complete and the room is ready for Splatter, then prime and paint.

Ripped down the sheetrock for the equipment rack closet and Barb remove the insulation while I was at work today. As usual, more electrical to deal with. :angry-tappingfoot:

Also picked out the carpet.......

What is splatter? The texture that goes on the walls as pat of the finishing process?

Yea, down here they finish the drywall with a splatter/knock down finish.

Up in the Northeastern US, where I grew up, we had smooth walls, so when we moved to Texas and saw this finish for the first time, we were not crazy about it, now we kinda like it.

A drywall professional will shoot it with a hopper and then knock it down with a trowel.

I purchased this product which matches pretty well when you blend it. Not cheap at $15/can however I really didn't have much of an option.

All the new sheetrock and spackle is primed.

The AC supply vents and the one return in painted black.

Will paint the walls gray tomorrow AM.

Then continue with the equipment closet and/or run wires.

Oh so close!

Awesome, heeman. Almost makes me want to start a big new project! Almost...

Here we go........

Used PVA Primer for the first time, not sure how much better it is, I will be able to tell after the second coat of paint.

Oh hell yes! Equipment closet is relatively small by comparison. Couple of beers, you'll be golden.

Okay, I mentioned a couple of replies up that I had to move electrical to cut the opening of the equipment rack.

So instead of framing, I put my electricians hat on and figured out the circuits and feeds and moved the electric.

There is some nice Eagle Rare Bourbon calling my name and when Barb went out earlier to get some nice NY Strips, she also picked me up a case (20) of .5 liter Hefeweizens......

Shower and a nice bourbon, great steaks and some Hefe....... I should be out like a light on the couch by 8:30....

Excellent progress, Heeman! You've clearly rounded third and are heading home.

Well done.

Looking good brother!

Eat some steak, drink some brew, and take the rest of the night off. You've earned it.

Cool. So are you taking out one/both of those studs to put in the rack?
