Heeman - WI Basement HT Build

We are pushing 100 on the temps still, rough weekend to be outside. Hope your project continues to move along.

All the sheet rock is finally up, first bass trap complete. We will spend a few more hours down there today.

I am coming to visit when you are done. My dream has always been to build a room with non-parallel walls tuned for audio reproduction.

I have done it for about a dozen mixing rooms where cost was no object (relatively speaking). But never for a home system where the ergonomics are different.

Dammit Keith! I really gotta get to work on some bass traps!! I can't stand you!

I was serious about the cavity behind the gear rack being a good place for bass absorption. Just find a way to fill as much of that area back there with hanging fiberglass (the most effective bass trap solution) and you'd get better sound. Then, after that, the area behind the outcrop on the front stage would be great.

All 4 bass traps are done.

Outlets and switches are in.

90% of the ceiling is complete with Ultra Touch Denim 5.5" insulation.

Getting closer and closer....................................

We have Power! The power to the home theater sub-panel is energized!! The left bank last (50Amp) breaker was finally wired in and connected yesterday (6awg x 3 w/gnd).
