What are you watching via streaming?

I went ahead and got the 7 day free trial of DC Iniverse. Watched the first episode of three original shows "Titans' "Doom Patrol" and "Swampthing". all are shon in 4k and the production quality of all 3 shows is outstanding. First episodes were pretty good and I will continue to watch and decide if i will keep it.

I plan on dropping ATT TV sometime this week which will free up $53.00/month so I am going to add a couple channels/apps . Probably Britbox the rest to be determined.

Well most of my viewing time the last few days has been watching shows on DC Universe and I have decided I am going t keep it. It has some good shows and a bunch of content I have yet to get to. The original shows are very good in all respects. They are far better than any of the DC shows on CW that I have viewed. And more than just the three original shows are in 4k,

Another thing I like is the user interface. I have not been a big fan of recent DC movies (except Wonder Woman and Aguaman) but DC has done it right with their streaming service. Other providers would do well to study them.

If you enjoy sci fi, suoer hero stuff I would say at least try the 7 day free trial. And for $6.25/month IMO it is wprth the price.

Ended up finishing Another Life yesterday, and while I didn't hate it like Flint did, it does come across as a basic tv sci-fi show with swear words thrown in to make it seem edgy. But overall, it was entertaining. They do seem to have quite the reserve of characters, and each ends on cliffhanger that keeps you coming back to see at least what happens to the part of the story line.

Wife and I finished the first season of Mindhunter last night, and watched the first episode of the second season. What a great show! I knew that the second season deals with the Atlanta child murders of the early 80's, and watching the last episode of the first season, there was a guy on the elevator with the FBI agents, who at least from the back looked like the child killer. Don't know if it's just a coincidence or an Easter Egg, or maybe nothing at all.

Season 2 was very good. No spoilers but I will say I learned something very important that I incorrectly believed for a number of years and I think most people believe the same thing I did.

I'd seen mentions of Letterkenney before and yesterday a clip was posted from the show (to be fair) so I decided to give it a shot. Watched the first four episodes of season 1 last night and it's pretty freakin' funny. On another note, I have a pickleball match tonight against a team named Up Country Degens and I had no idea what that meant until watching the show.

You've got me wondering what it is now. I enjoyed the first season more than the wife, but towards the end, she was pretty engrossed in it herself.

The 24 Hour War on Prime Video. From watching the clips of the upcoming movie "Ford vs Ferrari" with Christian Bale and Matt Damon is seems like the same subject matter?

I've made note of a tendency I have to watch one show to completion before going on to the next series I am interested in. At any time there are about three different shows of different genres I watch, like a comedy, a drama, and perhaps a thriller. I won't start another comedy until the one I am current watching has run out of episodes for me to enjoy. Same for any other genre. So, I generally don't jump around among dozens of shows in a given week, but instead watch just three or four shows and only move on when one of those shows runs out of episodes I haven't seen.

Is that normal?

Most television programs other than sports are just background noise for me. But when I do watch a series, regardless of genre, it’s always only one program at a time.

I'm exactly the same. Whether that means "normal" is anyone's guess. ;)

I actually watch several shows for the most part rather than stick with one until it is done. It provides variety and I am too old to change some habits. Before streaming people would watch a number of shows sof I do the same now.

We finished Carnival Row on Friday. The show is very well done and I enjoyed it, though I did feel a bit preached at from time to time.

The 100 on Netflix. Apparently it is into its 6th season. I had never heard of it. Something my kids have actually agreed to watch with me!! Yay!!

I'd like to say we streamed the first episode of the new season of Survivor on CBS All Access last night, but it wasn't up yet, which kind of pisses me off. Not that I have this great love for the show, although I do find it entertaining, but if I'm paying extra for their streaming service, the show at the very least should be available the next day, and ideally the minute the show is done airing on regular tv.

Do you have CBS AA on a stancd alone channel/app or part of another service such as Prime or Hulu? If thru another service that may be part of the problem. I think one of the reasons it is not available immediately after airing has to do with showtimes in other time zones.

CBS does make navigating the site and finding new content difficult. I usually go thru the category "Latest Episodes" to find new stuff.

That's why I say next day, I understand that they couldn't show it until it aired in California, but this was last night, the day after it had aired. I get CBS through my Prime app on my player, and the last season of Survivor, the current episode would drop sometime after it had aired, and we could always watch it the next day. Not sure why it's different this season.

Also tried watching the season premiere of Modern Family, but there was something wrong with the feed from Hulu, but at least the episode showed up in the playlist.

Just started watching Blacklist, came up as "trending" on my Netflix feed - hadn't heard of it but sounded interesting. I like it a lot though I've only watched the first episode, kind of a cross between Silence of the Lambs and 24. It's kinda funny to me seeing James Spader in this role after recently finishing The Office. Though actually - his characters in both cases have a fair bit in common!

For a minute there I thought "pauly has lost it" then I realized , no Mike you have lost it. To be fair, he was only in the last season of The Office, was he not? That being said, for some reason I have a visceral dislike of James Spader!! Call me strange but it's the truth!!
