What Movie(s) Did You Watch Today?

^ Yep! ROTFL! We both enjoyed it more than the first one.

Just saw "The Jungle Book" and was surprised how good the special effect were. The voice casting was also perfect. Bill Murry as Baloo the Bear, Christopher Walken as King Louie the giant ape and Scarlett Johansen as the hypnotic snake Kaa. Might be a tad violent for young kids but figure kids over 10 will enjoy it. Was very good movie.

We watched it last weekend and really enjoyed it a lot.

Just went to see Sully and it was very good.

Tom Hanks did a great job, as well as Aaron Eckhart as First Officer Jeff Skiles.

We watched the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles last night and enjoyed it. It was worth the $6 I paid for it, but probably not worth $20.

Tonight, we watched X-Men Apocalypse, which I thought was pretty solid.

A true classic, IMNSHO. I've seen it countless times, but tonight was the first time for my daughters, who I think are finally old enough to at least sort of grasp the plot. OMG this is a hilarious movie, but I think it's a rare case where it gets BETTER the second (+) time you watch it, because you KNOW what's going on with the Jackal, and ... really a great movie.

Movie quote of the 20th century:

Freddy Benson (as "Ruprecht"): Excuse me. May I go to the bathroom first?

Lawrence Jamieson: Of course you may.

Freddy Benson: [after a pause, and with relief] Thank you.

No where near as good as the book. Lots of creative license but still not a bad way to waste a couple of hours. I must say that next to my fear of height is a fear of drowning. To think that Bernie Webber and his crew would actually head out into what were described as 40 to 60 foot seas to save someone else boggles my mind!!

Another classic, but I didn't really recognize it at the time:

The first time I saw this, I was... shocked? appalled? horrified? offended? amused?

I don't know. A mixture of all of the above. That was a different time, and I was a different person. I guess I felt similarly to how I felt after seeing Sin City at Chuck's a few years ago. I guess this one is mild in comparison to Tarantino's more recent movies, but I can begin to appreciate how novel it was at the time. I enjoyed it a lot, now, but I'm left wondering - what happened to Jules? (S. Jackson's character)

Central Intelligence now. Waiting to see if it is worth it. Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson should make it a worth watching.

Watched the new Ghostbusters and although not as good as the first it was still an enjoyable movie. The chick who played their weapons expert stole every scene she was in. I loved how they made Channing Tatum as a brain dead good looking piece of meat for the crew to ogle. Reverse sexism was hilarious and of course the entire cast of the original movie (with the exeception of Rick Moranis was hilarious. Stay for the end credits to see the last cast member.

I haven't seen it, but I think you mean Chris Hemsworth, or at least Chris is the receptionist for the movie. Was Harold Ramis in it as well?

Yeah Chris Hemsworth sorry get those two mixed up. They had a bust of Harold Ramis in the school that Kristen Wiig worked at. You see it several times.

Watched the new Tarzan movie and wow was I impressed. First off I'm not a Tarzan fan never rally got into him. I did like Greystoke the legend of Tarzan with Christopher Lambert in the 80's and that's about the only one I liked. This new movie was incredible I loved every moment. The story was good the acting was very good and I just had a great time watching this movie and I entered thinking the worst ( in fact the only reason I bought the Vudu title was my mom saw the movie in the theater and was raving about it and asked me to load it on Vudu when it came out but waited a month or so before finally seeing it. Well worth watching.
