I didn't care for the ending, but I enjoyed it overall. J.K. Simmons was such a hard ass! Great acting on his part.

Not sure Jomari. The girl he left with was Mr. White's daughter.

^ Really enjoyed this!!! I was very impressed with Keira's talent and Mark's role as a has been recording artist that wants to come back and make it all work again. Loved the scenes with the make shift ways they recorded in unique settings (especially the one with the four street kids). I am a music lover and truly appreciate how the the movie was written for the characters to make it happen according to their own rules!

I am a fan of the James Bond movies and have read all the books. Bond actually got married to Tracy Drago but she was assassinated when Bond and her were traveling to their honeymoon (by Blofeld no less). Her legal name was Teresa Drago and she was heiress to another crime syndicate and Bond had saved her from drowning (she was trying to kill herself to free her from her crime syndicate family). Her father seeing how much she had improved with Bond had freed her from the family to marry Bond. It was shown in one of the earlier Bond movies "On her Majesty's Secret Service". Bond had fallen in love and was quitting MI6 for the love of his wife but when she was killed by a female sniper hired by Blofeld in their car that's when Bond got super pissed asked M to give him his job back with one stipulation that he would be allowed to kill Blofeld no questions asked.

Watched "The Accountant" tonight and thought it was a very good movie. Ben Affleck plays an accountant who counts money for crime syndicates. The reason is he suffers from a higher level of Autism and lives his life in a certain order not caring for the outcome he just wants to finish what he starts. The movie really starts to pick up during the second half when shit hits the fan and you see why Ben Afflecks character is so deadly with guns and martial arts.

Chris I think you'll enjoy this one as it deals with kids who suffer from Asbergers syndrome and Autism and how high functioning and mathematical they can be.

Thanks, we've seen it and all enjoyed it a lot. I would also recommmed it.

Saw Fantastic Beasts today, and LOVED IT! Haven't enjoyed a movie that much in a while. (Not that I see a lot of movies...)

shes not the first girl in casino royale tho right? I looked it up, and the story seems similar to that on casino.

thanks for the details tho matt. appreciate it!

should I borrow or rent 'on her majestys secret service'?

Jomari id rent it first. Most Bond fanatics will say this is the only Bond movie that pretty much nailed Ian Flemings version of what Bond should be. It was the one and only time George Lanzenby played Bond. Most found his acting to be subpar then again it was just after Sean Connery and before Roger Moore.

Out of all the Bond books most movies had some inkling to the novel but most strayed far away from the novels to hardly be recognized if you read the novels. The worst was "The Spy who loved me" that book was so far from Ian Flemings other Bond novels and the movie wasn't even in the ballpark except in name only. It seems Ian Fleming one night was talking to a woman who had been rescued by a stranger in a hotel by a freeway and the rescuer fancied himself a James Bond anyway he kept this woman safe all night from a man who wanted to kill her so Ian Fleming turned her tale into a novel.

^ I am lost................what Bond movie are you guys talking about?

I was referring to my original question, about the girl in Spectre, who I thought was the same character who he got married to. apparently not, thanks to mattewB, b is for bond.

bondage. :D

Ventured out to see Sicario today. Another quality flick. These "drug cartel" movies present some downright scary scenarios. It's a fucked up world out there...
I finally got around to watching Sicario. Man, this movie was great and also scary. The first 30 mins or so was so intense and it didn't really let up after that. This one will stay with me for a while.

La La Land.
What a really nice and poignant movie.
Very well done.

Also watched The Accountant (Affleck).
I have to say, I went in with low expectations...and it was surprisingly pretty damn good.

Sunday I watched Underworld, Underworld, Rise of the Lycans, The Expendables, Expendables 3, and Passengers (again, my daughter talked me into it but it is a pretty good flick).
