only good thing that came about it was i had a nightmare about the bat flying scene. where i despair and hope fly under my arms and let me float and fly around the bay area.

didnt get me too far.

Marvel seems to have lost most of their appeal, last few movies haven’t done that well.
Saw preview for She-Hulk, it does t look good at all.

I somewhat agree but I don't count the Sony Marvel movies except for Spider-Man. Sony sucks when it comes to their Marvel stuff.

It looks so bad.

They had a great formula for people that like the kiddie marvel universe but now they seem to be drawing straws for the next big thing and it just is t working.
 
Got tickets for this on Sunday psyched been waiting for release ever since the teaser trailer. Jessie Buckley is a "beast" (pun intended) love her in everything I have seen so far. And the buzz around Rory Kinnear's multi character performance is strong. With A24 behind Alex Garland directing this should be a quality grown up horror flick. Will report back.

@Hot Monkey You turned me on this stuff at S&V. Due to an odd circumstance, I searched for Lone Wolf and Cub and found I'd never seen the first movie in the series. I didn't even know it was a series. Amazon led me to Lady Snowblood. The disc is dirt cheap. It's Criterion and the cinematography is wonderful.

We lost a lot of really good movie (and other) quality reference post content I wish it was still accessible. I used to go back and read everyone's reviews to help decide what I might watch next.

Bump:

Finally got to the theater to see this.. Can't say I would recommend it to most people. It's for a very narrow cryptic slow burn pagan horror genre audience. Like Midsommar but if David Cronenberg hijacked the production then got drunk with Takeshi Miike before shooting the final scene. If any of that interests you then see it. If not I might skip it. Because despite what I thought was pretty excellent cinematography, sound, acting and score it was admittedly a tough watch even for a seasoned slow burn fan like me. And some of the gore is over the top fair warning.
 
funny, ive never watched casino, and im trying to figure out how to watch it. for free of course (streaming etc)
 
Picked up The Batman yesterday, this is really the first Batman film I did not see in the theater due to Covid. Also the reviews from my comic reading buddies weren’t all that great so I was in no hurry.
Will hopefully get to it tonight.
