What Movie(s) Did You Watch Today?

So, with Shane its a love/hate relationship, is that correct?

Definitely. One or the other.

Though the kid looks kinda creepy and the name thing Srvy mentioned is annoying it is one of my fans.

Two Netflix streamers I highly recommend.

I know this isnt a movie but ive really been enjoying me some " Have Gun-Will Travel" from Netflix streaming. Always a favorite as a kid Richard Boone as Palidan is great and the young actors that went on to become stars is fun to watch.

I remember someone mentioned this in the older pond and man, this one was a blast. watched one or two episodes and made me feel like woody from toy story. very classic western and definitely a feel good show. props on who showed this to me previously, absolutely admired that one.

Chosin

A very good documentary on one of the battles of the Korean War. Often called the "forgotten war" most people know very little if anything about that "police action" which was a true war. Interviews with survivors of the Battle of Chosin Reservoir and a good concise history of that war.

If you know nothing or little about the Korean War this is a must see and if you know alot about it you will enjoy the first hand accounts. New Reserves put into active duty and sent to battle without even basic training and in some cases no or grossly inadequate weapons. This is a real eye opener. And available via NF streaming.

Thanks, Jomari. Watched it last night, enjoyed it. Good story, pretty decent acting, definitely worth a viewing!

my pleasure pauly,

do you think its a rental or a purchase? like first day purchase?

i think if it fell to around 14 bucks id buy it. wait. im spending too much already. but since its on netflix streaming, i might watch it again just for kicks.

i also appreciated how they did certain things too.

i cant get 'we have to get those boys back home' line he did tho in black hawk down tho.

sheesh.

"Don't be afraid of the dark". Never saw the original version, but this remake by Guillermo Del Toro was very good. Like most of his movies it involves some fantasy and beautiful scenery. Family moves into beautiful house to renovate and sell but there is a dark secret that lives in the basement that was hidden by the previous owners that the families daughter soon discovers. This one really had the GF on edge and their is a scene where I never heard my GF scream so loud and for so long. Very tense scenes and not a movie for the young at all, unless you want them having nightmares. Thought it was a great rental.

Watched "Drive" tonight a slow going movie but the action scenes are very well done and very good story.

The Mechanic

Really good movie, liked it a lot.

Cowboys & Aliens

Went in with low expectations but ended up enjoying this one as well. Got it on BLU for $9 at FV and it was well worth the price.

Really Enjoyed This One!

We found it to be very entertaining, however far fetched. Let us know what you think.

i kinda digged that one too, cheap thrills kinda 'leave your brain at the doorstep' kinda feel, but hey, it worked.

Plus the dude with travolta spoke perfect mandarin. :happy-smileygiantred:

The fairground scenes of this movie were shot on a farm that we do business with. It was neat hearing all that they had to do to film the shots. I haven't seen the movie, but I am looking forward to it.

Between fairly positive reviews and word-of-mouth I may have to bite the bullet and check out Real Steel with the family...
