The Dark Knight Rises!!

* Light Spoilers *

T7 I think there are several factors,1) I haven't seen a single set photo of Batman with a replacement Batmobile. 2) Bane, I believe, steals or seizes Wayne Industries remaining inventory of "Tumblers" as he is seen on top of a camouflage Tumbler in several clips. 3) The movie is mentioned as an inner-city war movie and Batman needs the appropriate vehicles to respond. 4) He's Batman! :happy-smileygiantred: 5) Not that it's a focus but they'll sell a helluva lot of toy versions of "The Bat" as it's called.

Also there is more than meets the eye with Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Marion Cottliard's characters and a surprise return of a character from one of the previous films...

pretty awesome...not worthy of an 8 a.m. txt. Looks like Bane gets the Batcave too.

^ LOL sorry about the earlier text...

Bane violates every sense of security Bruce knows...those interested can reference Knightfall (intro to Bane in the comics), No Man's Land, & The Dark Knight Returns storylines for primary influences on this screenplay...

Your lucky that you are on the east coast. I got mine at 7:00 (but had already been up for 2 hours). I imagine Razz was happy to get it at 5:00 in the morning.

Guys, even though I'm mostly the only person participating in this thread, please do me a favor and from here on out don't post anything that could be considered a spoiler in regards to this film. This movie and this trilogy are very special to me and I am basking in every related moment leading up to this release. I dont want it to be ruined by someone who post details of plot points or the story. At this point I know all I want to know and am counting down...Thanks, I can't wait to experience this with several close friends.

Damn, I was gonna post about the Harry Potter guest appearance and subplot, but now I suppose I'll just have to keep my mouth shut. :angry-tappingfoot:

That's okay Pauly I already knew of that plot element...;)

Wow a pleasant surprise!! A 4th and unexpected DKR trailer. This soundtrack is gonna be badass...

Damn this looks good. Might have to make plans for a babysitter to see this one near the opening night.

Buzz after press screenings is very positive so far, one critic was supposedly quoted as saying “if this does not break the mold and win Best Picture, no comic book movie ever will.”

:text-link:

2 weeks and counting... :angry-tappingfoot:

Very non-spoilerish featurette about The Dark Knight Rises...enjoy unless you're blacking out all info *cough*T7*cough*

Let me get this straight, in Batman Begins and TDK, Gotham is Chicago but in TDKR, it's New York City? :confusion-scratchheadblue:

Gotham is ALL of those cities. Nolan wanted to continue to add to the size and scope of Gotham. Nolan and co. felt that they filmed as much useable space as possible in many other cities and wanted to film new locales to give the feel of something new while using shots from previous filmed cities as well for continuity. They also filmed a lot of footage in Pittsburgh for TDKR also...

I remember asking this on our old forum when Batman Begins came out, about where the Gotham city is supposed to be in Batman story. I always thought it's NYC (I'm comic book illiterate) but someone corrected me by saying that in the story, it's Chicago.
